Obituary

Lisette Griffin, 49, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on October 30, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky after a six-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Lisette was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her, embodying warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She was born on July 9, 1976, in Belvedere, California, to the late Jesus López and surviving Maria Angeles (Jaramillo) López. Lisette dedicated much of her life to nurturing others, beginning her journey as a special education teacher assistant developing a passion for children. She then became a social worker in California, where her compassion and dedication enriched the lives of many. She later became a special education teacher, passionately advocating for the needs of her students. However, she chose to pause her career to embrace the role of a United States Air Force wife and stay-at-home mother, where she poured her heart into raising her two beloved children, Aiden and Anneliese. Lisette's nurturing spirit and boundless love were the foundation of her family. A lover of the outdoors, Lisette found immense joy in gardening, playing with her dogs, and had a great love for playing tennis. Whether playing on the court or cheering for her kids, Lisette's enthusiasm was infectious. She will be remembered not just for her talents, but for her warm smile, compassionate heart, and one-of-a-kind laugh. She is preceded in death by her father, Jesus. Lisette is survived by her loving husband, Drew Griffin; her son, Aiden Griffin; her daughter, Anneliese Griffin; her mother, Maria Angeles López; and her brother, Ulises López. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Services will be held at Gelsbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown on Friday, November 14, 2025.
