Lois Amick Comer, 85, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home. She was born September 30, 1939, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late Homer and Frances (Wilson) Amick. She was married to Barry Comer on her birthday, September 30, 1957. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Scottsburg, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Sydney. Survivors include two daughters, Julie (Jeff) Petty and Lisa Prange; a son, Monty (Paige) Comer; Seven grandchildren Jamie (Mitch) Prout, Jodie (John) Christie, Lindsey (Casey) Wills, Matthew (Kaylie) Prange, Jordan (Drew) Powell, and Isaac (Macy) Comer; Six great grandchildren Emma and Hannah Prout, Jeffrey Christie, Riley and Wyatt Wills, and Saylor Comer. She is also survived by two brothers, Eugene and Robert (Sherri) Amick, two sisters, Ruth Holland and Mary (Lee) Colwell plus one brother-in-law, Glen Comer Jr. and one sister-in-law, Melinda (Brian) Lowry. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Fund in Leota, Indiana in c/o Collins Funeral Home. Lois requested a private graveside service for her immediate family.
