Louise Rothbauer, 89, of Sellersburg, Indiana previously of Scott County, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Sellersburg Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sellersburg, Indiana. She was born on November 21, 1932, in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Minnie (Huckleberry) Amos. Louise was a member of the American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a retired cook for Scott County School District II in Scottsburg, Indiana working at the cafeterias in Scottsburg Elementary and Scottsburg High School. Louise enjoyed gardening and canning throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her companion, Thomas Asher; a brother, William "Bill" Amos and two sisters, Bonnie Amos and Mary Jaramillo. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Susan) Rothbauer of New Albany, Indiana and Larry (Charisse) Rothbauer of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Sharon (Tom) Weir of Braselton, Georgia; two brothers, James Leroy (Carol) Amos and Marvin Eugene (Dorothy ) Amos both of Austin, Indiana; sister, Betty Boardman of North Vernon, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Ansley) Weir, Tammany Rothbauer, Heather (Josh) Payne, Kelsey Weir, Andrew Rothbauer, Arielle Rothbauer, and Morgan (Kody) Roberts and thirteen great grandchildren, Hayden, Jack, Emma, Annabelle, Isabella, Luke, Peyton, Owen, Oliver, Jake, Keegan, Anderson, and Asher. Graveside Service: 11:00 am Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home.
