Luckie Barger, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Indian Creek Nursing Home in Corydon, Indiana. He was born on February 22, 1949, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Sterling Barger and Mae (Couch) Barger. He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Scottsburg American Legion Post #234, National Defense Service Metal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantrymen Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Bronze Star Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn (Doug) Blankenbeckler; one brother; five sisters; four grandchildren, William, Nicole, Abel Blankenbeckler, and Skylar Cabpell; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
