Lynn A. West, 95, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on May 14, 1927, in Genoa, Illinois, the son of the late Lloyd and Opal (Wells) West. Lynn was an incredibly hard worker and proud Purdue dad. He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Lynn graduated from Lexington High School in 1945. He went on to serve in the Navy during World War II. On July 21, 1950, he married Carrie Lee (Baker) West, who survives. Later, he was drafted during the Korean War Conflict. He retired from the United States Post Office in 1985. When he was not working at the Post Office, Lynn worked on TVs and had his own TV repair shop, West TV. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Tanner Eikenberry; twin sisters, Margaret and Marian West; and brother-in-law, Melvin Draper. In addition to his wife, Carrie Lee (Baker) West, Lynn is survived by two sons, Ron (Mary Jo) West of Scottsburg and Michael (Judy) West of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Eikenberry of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother, James E. (Hazel) West of Scottsburg, sister, Jean Draper of Scottsburg; seven grandchildren, Evan (Christa) West, Allyson (Zlatan) Hodzic, Lindsey (Philip) Kinney, Chase (Rachel) West, Paige West, Parker (Marisa) Eikenberrry, and Kelsey Eikenberry; and seven great grandchildren, Mason, Maxwell, Madelyn, Elliot, Austin, Jack, and Charlie. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matthew Craig officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm prior to services Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
