Mae Spicer, 82, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on January 31, 1940, in Brookside, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Irvin and Victoria (Couch) West. Mae graduated from Lexington High School in the class of 1957. She was a retired machine operator for the old Reliance Electric Company in Madison, Indiana. Mae retired after thirty-eight years in 2000. On March 11, 1988 she married Charlie Spicer, who passed away on August 8, 2019. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. In addition to her parents and late husband, Charlie, Mae is preceded in death by a son, Robert Fugate; five sisters, Grace Gay, Lucy White, Carla Hughes, Chole Campbell, and Hazel Gardner; and two brothers, Roy and Walter West. Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda (Glenn) Everhart and Donna (John) Minor both of Scottsburg, Indiana; one son, Arlie Fugate of Scottsburg, Indiana; six grandchildren, Chad (Kayla) Glenn, Cara Glenn, Natasha (Justin) Richie, Jeremy Spicer, Robert Fugate, and Jenna Elam; and thirteen great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Phil LaMaster & John Lowry officiating.
