Margie (May) Wagner, 80, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on November 3, 1939 in Salyersville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late N.C. May and Rose (Bailey) May. Margie graduated from Jeffersonville High School in the Class of 1958. She was married on April 8, 1961 to William S. "Bill" Wagner, Sr. Margie was a former employee of the old I.C.I. Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, Indiana, where she worked for nearly 11 years before becoming a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and was a great cook. Margie loved working in her gardens, especially her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie and Paul May and two sisters, Phyllis Ann May and Ruth Romans. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bill Wagner; a son, William S. "Bill" Wagner, Jr. of Ashland City, Tennessee; two daughters, Donna (Kevin) Helton of Scottsburg, Indiana and Dorrie (Donnie) Braden of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters, Dottie Roberts of Charlestown, Indiana, Lucy (George) Fair of Marysville, Washington and Joyce Coy of Henryville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Sinjin, Clinton and Bailey and two great grandchildren, Nyasha and Samara. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Spetember 23, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Mohon officiating. Funeral services may also be viewed on Collins Funeral Home's Facebook page at 1:00 pm on Wednesday. Visitation: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Entombment will be at Mt.
