Maridell D. Waymire, 76 of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was born on August 19, 1947 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Clifford Denton and Dorothy (Blount) Denton. On October 27, 1978 she married Melvin L. (Butch) Waymire, and he preceded her in death in 2003. Maridell was a homemaker. She enjoyed genealogy, flower gardening, and being with her family. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, and one sister Jean Scifres. Survivors include: her son, Merritt Joe (Melissa) Warner of Lexington, Indiana; sister, Linda (Don) Willin of Columbus, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brittany, James, and Marcus; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 7, from 4 to 6 pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
