Marie M. Everitt, 95, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on July 2, 1924 in Watseka, Illinois, the daughter of the late Renna Amos and Dola (Mount) Amos. Marie was married on January 1, 1949 to Robert C. Everitt, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2006. They were blessed to have spent 57 years together. She was a former secretary for Scott Memorial Hospital and also had worked at the old Davis Surplus Store. Marie graduated from Little York High School in 1940 and was an avid reader. She enjoyed walking for exercise and playing Bingo. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Amos. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Everitt of Kenwood, California; her son, Ronald L. "Ronnie" Everitt and his wife Treva of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Monique Bruce and her husband David, Breyden and Isaac Everitt and three great grandchildren, Dawson, Parker and Zander Bruce. Private family services were held at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Interment will be in the Everitt Family Cemetery near Scottsburg, Indiana.
