Marilyn Rogers, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Aspen Trace in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born on May 21, 1936, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. daughter of the late Ralph and Adeline (Schultz) Lane.
On September 2, 1955, Marilyn and Paul were married in New Albany, Indiana. She was a past member of the Indiana Kiwanis, member of the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club, a member of the Southport chapter of Eastern Star, past member of the Shrine Guild of America, past member of the Indiana Jaycees throughout several counties, a member of the Scott County Republican Club, a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was also a member of the women's international bowling congress. She was a very proud Master Gardener. Marilyn was an honored realtor. She was the first woman in Johnson County and one of only a handful of county realtors who were presented with the designation for Realtor G.R.I. She also owned a craft boutique in Bargersville, Indiana called Craftiques. She and Paul Co-Owned A&R Greenhouse with Kevin Arbuckle.
In addition to her parents and husband of sixty-six years, Paul Rogers; Marilyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Brown; and grandson, Matthew Brown. Marilyn's survivors include her beloved cat, Frisky; her children, Jon (Linda) Rogers of Bargersville, Indiana, and Shelley (Gary) Maze of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Audrey) Rogers, Tyler (Jessica) Rogers, J. Cody Rogers, Christopher (Crystal) Brown, Patrick Brown, Andrew (Jennifer) Brown, and Emma Maze; and eleven great grandchildren, Alivia, Aiden, Jaxon, Colton, Tyce, Chloe, Kairi, Elijah, Iris, Khaleesi, and Waylon and one great great grandchild, Jonah.
Marilyn's family would also like to give a special thank you to those who have become adopted family, Charlie, Bobby and Wilma Brock.
Funeral Service Monday, June 16, 2025, 12:00 noon at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Zachary Manton officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pigeon Roost Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
