Mark Alvin Gray, 59, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at his residence. He was born on March 6, 1961 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Alvin Gray and Betty (Scott) Gray. Mark was a union ironworker and welder for the Iron Workers Union Local # 70 in Louisville, Kentucky. He had worked on the demolition and rebuilding of the Milton-Madison Bridge. Mark loved the outdoors and especially going fishing. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Diana L. (Smith) Gray; a son, Mark Gray of Evansville, Indiana; a stepson, Travis (Malachi) Copple of Seymour, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Shauna (John) Plumer of Seymour, Indiana; his parents, Alvin and Betty Gray of Iowa; a brother, Ken (Jamie) Gray of Iowa; three sisters, Sara Gray, Caroline (Mark) Morgan and Laurie (Jeff) Mordhorst all of Iowa; six grandchildren; Mark David Gray, Lucas, Nathan and Aleena Copple, Andrew and Benjamin Plumer. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and John Gray. Private graveside services on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Lexington Cemetery will be for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the families wishes.
