Mark D. "Catfish" Lyon, 37, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in Scott County, Indiana. He was born on October 17, 1984, in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Larry Lyon and Cheryl (Lister) Lyon. He was a member of the Scottsburg Church of Christ. Mark attended Scottsburg High School but later on got his GED from the Learning Center in Scottsburg, Indiana. Mark very much enjoyed bowling and participated in the Scottsburg Bowling League. In addition to bowling, Mark also enjoyed going fishing for catfish, mudding and playing cards. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Nan Lyon, and his grandparents, Walt and Iona Lister. Survivors include his mother and father Larry and Cheryl Lyon of Scottsburg, Indiana; one son, Carter Lyon of Jeffersonville, Indiana; grandfather, Harry Lyon of Pekin, Indiana; spouse, Becky (separated but still friends), of Madison. Funeral Service: 3:00 pm Friday at Scottsburg Church of Christ in Scottsburg, Indiana with Matt McGlothin officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Friday at Scottsburg Church of Christ.
