Martha Jane Evans, 72, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on February 12, 1948 in Austin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter C. Evans and Goldie (Sandlin) Evans. Martha attended Austin High School and later graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1966. She also had attended Indiana University Southeast and Ivy Tech. Martha was a retired clerk for University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, was a member of the Scottsburg First Christian Church and enjoyed shopping, sewing and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Paul Evans. Survivors include her son, Walter Ryan Evans (Helen) of Austin, Indiana and two grandchildren, Madison Evans and Justice Wheat. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana and private burial will be later in Scottsburg Cemetery. Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
