Martha Gasser, 90, of Little York, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, IN. She was born on November 19, 1933 in Canton, Ohio, to the late Russell Hahn and Gertrude (Prall) Hahn. On March 6, 1953 she married the love of her life, George Gasser, he preceded her in death on April 28, 2001. Martha was a kind-hearted soul who dedicated many years of her life to transporting eager young minds in her role as a school bus driver in the Salem School District. Her impact on the community was deeply felt, making her presence known in the lives of countless individuals. Martha was a proud member of the Old Mount Wilson American Legion Woman's Axillary. Her hobbies included crocheting, trying her luck at the penny slots, and cheering on her favorite furry friends at the dog races. In addition to her parents and husband,George, Martha is preceded in death by two sons, Gary and Michael Gasser; one daughter, Karen Gasser; three brothers, Pete, Fred, and Tom Hahn; two sisters, Mary Richardson and Virginia Woodard. Martha's family held a special place in her heart, and she expressed her love through her delicious cooking, always preparing their favorite dishes for birthdays and special occasions. She leaves behind her two sons, John (Michelle) Gasser of Little York, Indiana and Billy Gasser of Brownstown, Indiana; daughter, Paula (Paul) Rothrock of Columbus, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Vicki (Bill) Ubelhor; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Martha Gasser will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating. Visitation 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Collins Funeral Home and prior to the service Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Gater Cemetery in Little York, Indiana.
