Martha Jane Vest, 87, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her residence surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 24, 1936, in Okalona, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Gilbert Brown and Maggie (Marshall) Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert Hall; brothers, James, Gilbert Ray, Robert, Arnold, and Frank Brown; and one stepson, Rickey Vest. Survivors include her husband, Donald R. Vest of Lexington, Indiana; three sons, Douglas (Debbie) Hall, Michael Hall, and Donald Hall all of Scottsburg, Indiana; daughter, Wanda Sue (George) Barnett of Lexington, Indiana; two brothers, Kenny (Gloria) Brown of Underwood, Indiana and David (Arlene) Brown of Austin, Indiana; two sisters, Elsie Mae Garland and Lena Fay (Donald) Smith both of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepson, Terry (Patty) Vest of Bedford, Kentucky; two stepdaughters, Kathy (Tim) Burge and Tammy Epperson both of Scottsburg, Indiana; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral Service 11:00 am Friday, November 10, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, November 9, 2023, and after 10:00 am Friday at Collins Funeral Home.
