Matt Read, 51, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Columbus Regional Health in Columbus , Indiana. He was born on September 26, 1970 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of John Read Sr. and Patricia (Boehnlein) Read. Matt loved his Harley and rode every chance he could. He was preceded in death by his father, John Read, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Pat Read of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepdaughter, Alisha (Josh); two stepsons Kyle and Dylan (Brii); three sisters, Terri (Wes) Calloway of Salem, Indiana, Tammy (Joe) Brown of Milton, Florida, and Toni Read of Live Oak, Florida; three brothers, Vince Read of Salem, Indiana, Chris (Tammy) Read of Salem, Indiana, J.C. (Brenda) Read of Navarre, Florida; he adored his three stepgrandchildren, Jace, Maximus, and Miley; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, October 4, 2021 at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 1 to 4 pm Sunday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana and after 10 am Monday at American Martyrs Catholic Church. Interment at Beech Grove Cemetery near Salem, Indiana.
