Matthew William "Cap" Brown, 28, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1991 in Franklin, Indiana, the son of Kendall Lee Brown and Paula (Rogers) Brown. Matt graduated from the National Guard Patriot Academy High School in 2011 and then earned an Associates degree from Liberty University Academy. He had served as a Specialist (E-4) in the Indiana Army National Guard as a wheeled vehicle mechanic and Military Police. Matt was a veterinary technician for Dr. John's Pet Care Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky and a member the Scottsburg United Methodist Church. He had also started several self help U-Tube Channels and liked to joke around. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Kendall Brown. Survivors include his wife, Tara L. (Shelton) Brown; his son and daughter, Waylon and Khaleesi Brown both of Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Paula Brown of Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, Chris Brown (Crystal) of New Albany, Indiana and Andrew Brown (Jennifer) of Franklin, Indiana; his sister, Sarah Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandparents, Paul and Marilyn Rogers of Scottsburg, Indiana and two nieces, Kairi and Iris Brown. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday and after 9 am on Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home.
