Michael "Mike" Schmittler

Michael "Mike" Schmittler, 69, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on March 5, 2026, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 30, 1956 in Clinton, Indiana, to Thomas "Tom" H. Schmittler and Betty Jo (Dotts) Schmittler. Mike graduated from Scottsburg Senior High School in 1976. On July 5, 1995 he married the love of his life Sharon Mlady and she survives. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Smith. Mike is survived by his wife, Sharon Schmittler; one daughter, Sarah (Brad) Wilson; two sons, Brian Lehman and Matthew (Debra) Lehman; four grandchildren, Ivan, Ivy, Madilynn, and Malachi Lehman; one brother, Tommy Schmittler. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be on March 21, 2026 at Vienna Baptist Church in Scottsburg, Indiana at 1:00pm. Memorial donations can be made in Mike's name to Scott County Humane Society or Vienna Baptist Church in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
