Mildred J. Gardner, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus. She was born on October 16, 1932 in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charlie Mull and Hallie (Cass) Mull. Mildred graduated from Salem High School and was a member of the Little York Christian Church. She was married on Feb. 23, 1953 to James L. "Lim" Gardner, who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2015 after 62 years of marriage. Mildred was a retired manager for Scottsburg Senior Housing, also know as Craig Park in Scottsburg, Indiana, where she worked for six years along with her husband, Lim. In addition to her husband and parents,she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie and Charles Ervin Mull. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Judd and husband Roger of Danvile, Indiana; a son, Jimmy Gardner and wife Chris of Scottsburg, Indiana; three brothers, Ronald Mull and wife Susie and Frankie Mull and wife Kyla all of North Vernon, Indiana and Dale Mull of Sellersburg, Indiana; three sisters, Janet Mattox and husband Jerry and Judy Fleenor all of Scottsburg, Indiana and Catherine Jennings and husband John of Salem, Indiana; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be private and for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the family's wishes. A celebration of life will be held with friends and family to be announced at a later date. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery near Scottsburg, Indiana.
