Nancy Lee Hall, 86, of Underwood, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 22, 1935 in Memphis, Indiana, the daughter of the late George and Fannie Lou (Melton) Grider. On December 19, 1952 she married Ralph E. Hall, who passed away January 17, 2018. Nancy and Ralph were the owners of the 256 Auction Barn for many years, people would be lined up around the building just to get one of her famous griddle hamburgers. After retiring from the auction barn, Nancy cared for the elderly in her home giving them much love and treating them as her own. Before Nancy became ill, you would always find her in her yard planting flowers and mowing grass, or at a yard sale. She also loved her family very much and always looked forward to the holidays when all of her family was together at home. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Lee (Bobbie) Hall; daughter, Debbie Lou Nye; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: son, Larry (Laurel) Hall; sister, Lottie Sutterfield of Greenwood, Indiana; five grandchildren, Lori (Jason) Davis of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, Larry (Kendra) Hall of Elizabethtown, Indiana, LeighAnn (Josh) Mullins of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Tonya (Eric) Nye of Henryville, Indiana, Mindy (Jay) Nye of Henryville, Indiana; six great grandchildren, Nathan Legler, Taylor and Skylar Mullins, Keller, Keisler, and Kennison Hall; and her beloved pets, Peanut and Cookie. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Roger Pedigo officiating. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, August 6, 2021 and after 9:00 am Saturday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Willey's Chapel Cemetery in Borden, Indiana. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Nancy. She adored all her team who cared for her.
