Nancy L. Hecht, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Charlestown Place in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on August 15, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Walter C. Lassman and Evelyn Nance Lassman. She married Robert Lee Hecht, Jr., who preceded her death in 1998. She was a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and a member of Alpha Phi International Fraternity. Nancy was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, previously working in the church's administration office as well as Christ Church Preschool. She and her husband were former members of Hunting Creek Country Club in Prospect, Kentucky where she enjoyed the bowling league and playing tennis. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Adele S. Lassman. Survivors include son, Robert (Laura) Hecht of Louisville, Kentucky; daughter, Melanie Beeler of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Austin Beeler of Louisville, Kentucky, Madison Beeler of Louisville, Kentucky, Kathryn (Kyle) McCune of Sellersburg, Indiana, and Eleanor Hecht of Louisville, Kentucky; and two great grandchildren Quinn and Margot McCune. Cremation services have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
