Norma L. Bennett, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1932 in Orange County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Murl Allen and Gladys (Connell) Allen. Norma was a retired production worker for the old Freudenberg NOK in Scottsburg, Indiana, a member of the First Baptist Church and the Women of the Moose. When she was able, Norma always enjoyed bowling and playing golf. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Hurst on Oct. 21, 1977. Norma was married on April 11, 1992 to David M. Bennett, who passed away on July 27, 2013. In addition, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and Cecil Allen and a sister, Jean Owens. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia A. David of Okemos, Michigan; her brother, Melvin Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Michelle Payton, Eric and Susan David; five great grandchildren, Zachary, Josh, Taylor, Elin and Hollis and six great great grandchildren, Savannah, Annabelle, Natalie, Landon, Solomon and Vincent. Memorial Contributions may be given to First Baptist Church or Scott County Relay for Life c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
