Norma Jean Burns, 82, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on August 10, 1939 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Romer T. Cole and Florence (Howell) Cole. Norma was an administrative assistant for Court Casuals in West Los Angeles, California. On December 14, 1974 Norma married Kenneth R. Burns, who passed away on Oct. 12, 2010. She was a proud member of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution General Charles Scott Chapter. She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Jason Franklin; one brother, Gerald T. Cole; and sister, Mary Sue Eskridge. Survivors include her three sons, Bill (Mary) Lesnet of Scottsburg, Indiana, Tony (Kim) Lesnet of Scottsburg, Indiana, and John Lesnet of Scottsburg, Indiana; two daughters, Cindy D. (Darrell) Scifres of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Jeanie S. (Mike) Richey of Scottsburg, Indiana; stepson, Keith O. (Debra) Burns of Caro, Michigan; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home with T.C. Baker officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home.
