Norma Lee Owen Danko Eavey, 89, of Scottsburg, formerly of Jasonville, Indiana passed away on January 22, 2025, in Scottsburg, IN. She was born July 29, 1935, in Bloomfield, Indiana to Everett D. and Pina Burris Owen. She graduated from Jasonville High School, class of 1953 as the class Salutatorian. She lived most of her life in Jasonville before moving to Scottsburg. She worked at sewing factories and for Indiana Bell Telephone company but hung wallpaper all over Greene County for over 50 years. She was a member of O.E.S. Eastern Star in Jasonville and enjoyed bowling, gardening, playing board games, card games, and telling stories. She loved a bargain and enjoyed going to yard sales and Goodwill. Norma is survived by her children, Teresa Canada and husband, Vence of Scottsburg, Randall Danko and wife, Susan of Indianapolis, Ronald Danko and wife, Marianne of Linton, Indiana and Gerald Eavey and wife, Lisa of Englewood, Florida, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Eavey, four infant siblings, four brothers, Floyd, Roy, Gerald and Albert Owen and four sisters, Myla Hash, Agnes Earle, Ida Sipes and Hazel Morris. The service for Norma will be at 4:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home, 465 W. McClain Avenue, Scottsburg and friends may visit with Norma's family from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday. She will be laid to rest at Peavey Cemetery in Clay County, Indiana.
