Norma J. Robinson, 98, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on March 30, 1924 in Jefferson County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ben Robbins and Cora (Davis) Robbins. Norma loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, and cards. She also enjoyed reading and writing poems and was the past president of the poetry club and Business Professional Women. Norma was a very sociable person and had a great sense of humor. She graduated from Deputy High School in 1942. Norma was a member of the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. On August 15, 1942, she married Emery C. Robinson, who passed away May 17, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Robbins; and one sister, Lucille Robbins. Survivors include her four daughters, Donna J.(Jack) Hughes of Sharpsville, Indiana, Sandra (Michael) Shelton of Deputy, Indiana, Karen A.(Fred) Chasteen-Everitt of Henryville, Indiana, and Teresa A. (Mike) Jewell of Scottsburg, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Amanda, Codie, Trenton, Lori, Lisa, Luci, Nicholas, Mark, Julie, and Michelle, nineteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial Service: 6:00 pm Monday, August 1, 2022 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 pm Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Cremation services have been entrusted to Collins Funeral Home. Interment will follow on a later date at Pisgah Cemetery in Deputy, Indiana.
