Onna Tobias

Onna Tobias, 90, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg.

She was born on February 22, 1936, in Lee County, Kentucky, the daughter of David and Polly Conrad.

Onna was a devoted homemaker and a loving caregiver to her family and a former employee of the old Smith's Cabinet Factory in Scottsburg. She found great joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life-riding horses, tending her garden, and preserving the fruits of her labor through canning. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished the time she spent traveling and camping with her family.

Onna was a Christian and lived her life guided by kindness, care, and devotion to others. She was a proud member of the Scott County Saddle Club and had a special love for animals, which brought her much happiness throughout her life. Onna was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Tobias; son, Steven R. Tobias. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Davis(Terry); son Robert "Bob" Tobias(Shirley); sister, Maxine Freeman; brothers, Mike, Ronnie(Myrtle), Herman, Glen Conrad; along with two granddaughters and one step-grandson, as well as four great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild. There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 10-1pm with service to follow at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Spurgeon Cemetery.
