Patricia Amos

Patricia "Pat" M. Amos, 80, of Lexington, Indiana passed away on May 29, 2026, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, a beloved mother, sister, and friend. She was born on May 27, 1946, in Austin, Indiana, to the late Hensley Miller, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Huckleberry) Mullins. Pat married the late Thomas Amos, Jr. on February 19, 1984, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2023. Pat dedicated many years to her career as a forklift driver, retiring from Morgan Foods, in Austin, Indiana, where she cherished the sense of community her workplace provided. After retiring, she found joy in completing puzzles and crosswords, as well as crocheting beautiful creations. Patricia cherished traveling out west with her family, creating lasting memories that will be held dear by all who were fortunate enough to experience her adventurous spirit. In addition to her parents and late husband, Tom, Pat is preceded in death by her stepfather, William Junior Mullins; and brother, Ronnie Lee Miller. Pat is survived by her five sons, TJ (Julie) Amos, James (Janette) Amos, Eugene (Lisa) Amos, Gary (Misty) Amos, Raymond (Alicia) Noble; three daughters, Terri (Keith) Rein, Sherri (Allen) McCauley, and Billie (Darrel) Cochran; one sister, Julie (TJ) Amos; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she took immense joy in the lives of her several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, showering them with love and warmth. The funeral service for Patricia Amos will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at New Providence Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.
