Patricia Lee "Trisha" Smith, 57, of Harrisburg, Illinois, formerly of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She was born on March 8, 1963 in Scottsburg, Indiana, the daughter Lee Edward Smith Sr. and Virgie (Sizemore) Smith. Trisha attended Austin High School and later earned an Associate's Degree from the International College of Bible Theology in Eldorado, Illinois. She was a home health caretaker at a private residence in Harrisburg, Illinois and also was the former manager for Casey's in Scottsburg, Indiana and the Fuel Mart in Austin, Indiana. Trisha was a member of the Living Hope Church in Carrier Mills, Illinois, enjoyed collecting vintage items, antiques and pioneer woman cookware. She loved reading and studying her bible, reading her inspirational books and going to church. Trisha started a program called the Key of Hope, which gave people keys with scripture passages on them to encourage them. She also participated with area churches in a program called Peanut Butter, Jelly and Jesus, which made bag lunches to feed the hungry. Trisha loved her great grandchildren very much and always looked forward to time spent with them. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Edward Smith, Sr. and a brother, Robert Allen Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Lee Mullins-Redford (Tequila) of Austin, Indiana and Tammy Mullins (John Hays) of Ocala, Florida; her mother, Virgie Smith of Austin, Indiana; two brothers, Lee Edward Smith, Jr. and Benjamin Franklin Smith both of Austin, Indiana; two sisters, Deborah Sue Dones (Kenneth) and Donna Marie Shultz (Anthony) all of Austin, Indiana; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and her little mini me. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Hollan officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed.
