Paul Edward Brown, 65, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on October 2, 1957 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of the late Robert Brown and Anna Lee (Burns) Walters. Paul graduated from Austin High School in 1976. He retired in 2018 from Faurecia Manufacturing in Columbus, Indiana where he worked for 42 years. On March 19, 2016 he married Edna J. (Southwood) Porter-Brown, who survives. He was a member of the Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana. Paul played bass guitar and sang for his church's praise group, loved spending time with his family and friends. Paul was a very passionate man who enjoyed drawing, sports cars, and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Timothy Porter; step-daughter, Rebecca Porter; and daughter-in-law, Kay Brown. In addition to his wife, Edna, survivors include three sons, Andy Brown of Scottsburg, Indiana, Chris (Stephanie) Brown of Austin, Indiana, and Shawn Porter-Barger of Austin, Indiana; three daughters, Kaitey (Noah) Hurley of Scottsburg, Indiana, Lana (Tony) Jones-Hanner of Austin, Indiana, and Rachel Porter of Scottsburg, Indiana; sister, Debbie (Charles) Clontz of Austin, Indiana; twelve grandchildren, Timothy, Tucker, Marliegh, Elyjah, Dawson, Jacob, Kaleb, Gavin, Sophia, Lydia, Marshall, and Nora; several great grandchildren; nephew, Aaron Clontz; and a host of step nieces and nephews.. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Broadway Pentecostal Church in Austin, Indiana with Pastor Johnny Bowling & Pastor Richard Jones officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday at Broadway Pentecostal Church. Interment at New Providence Cemetery Austin, Indiana.
