Paul Hutchinson, 93, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on November 4, 1929, in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of the late Daniel Boone Hutchinson and Molly (Duff) Hutchinson. On September 19, 1953, he married Halla Mae (Porter) Hutchinson, who passed away August 2, 2005. He was a former employee of the old Arvin's Sango in Columbus, Indiana for thirty-five years. Paul served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was an avid Kentucky University Wildcats fan, and he enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and fishing. In addition to his wife, Halla Mae, and parents, Paul is preceded in death by one daughter, Glenna Mains; seven brothers, Jim, Jasper, Charlie, Dan Jr., Jess, George, and twin brother, John Hutchinson; three sisters, Polly Spencer, Louella Franklin, and Sally Bolen; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Owen and Travis Miller. Survivors include his children, Charles Michael (Janie) Hutchinson of Scottsburg, Indiana, Teresa (Jim) Marshall of Scottsburg, Indiana, Shiquietha (Stan) Miller of Seymour, Indiana, Donna (Tom) Roberts of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Paul Timothy (Katy) Hutchinson of Scottsburg, Indiana; two sisters, Lizzy Miller of Hazard, Kentucky and Ruth Layne of Ohio; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Shelton officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Thursday at Collins Funeral Home.
