Paul E. Rogers, 87, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 4, 1935, in Scott County, Indiana, son of the late Carmel and Gladys (Smith) Rogers. In 1953, Paul graduated from Scottsburg High School then went on to graduate from Purdue University in 1957 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Economics. On September 2, 1955 he married Marilyn A. (Lane) Rogers, who survives. Paul was a retired agriculture chemicals salesman, who also did research and development for Syngenta. He was also a former fertilizer salesman for the Olin Corporation in Little Rock, Arkansas for twenty-one years. Paul was always an active member in his community. He was a past Lt. Governor of the Indiana Kiwanis, past President and member of the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club, past member of the Indiana Jaycees throughout several counties, past director of the local Scott County FFA Advisory Committee, member of the Scottsburg Lodge #572 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, past president of the Mobile Nobles Shriners Club, past Director and Vice-President of Scott County Farm Bureau, life member of Purdue University Alumni Association, a member of the Scott County Republican Club, and a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church Scottsburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Matthew Brown. In addition to his loving wife, Marilyn, Paul's survivors include his children Paula Brown of Louisville, Kentucky, Jon (Linda) Rogers of Bargersville, Indiana, and Shelley (Gary) Maze of Greenwood, Indiana; one sister, Brenda (John) Bush of Lebanon, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Audrey) Rogers, Tyler (Jessica) Rogers, J. Cody Rogers, Christopher (Crystal) Brown, Patrick Brown, Andrew (Jennifer) Brown, and Emma Maze; and eleven great grandchildren, Alivia, Aiden, Jaxon, Colton, Tyce, Chloe, Kairi, Elijah, Iris, Khaleesi, and Waylon. Paul's family would also like to give a special thank you to his caregivers that have become an adopted family, Charlie and Wilma Brock, and Ashley and Steve. Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Zachary Manton officiating. Masonic services will be Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Visitation: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2023, and after 10:00 am Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Pigeon Roost Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
