Paula Dale Clapp

Paula Dale Clapp, 72, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on June 5, 2026, at home with her loving family by her side. Paula was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was born on February 6, 1954, in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, to Paul A. "Buddy" Clapp and Bonnie D. (Renschler) Clapp. Paula enjoyed working hard on her magazines that were consistently supplied by loving friends and family. She had a talent for finding coupons and sharing her work with family, a tradition that was started decades ago by her Grandpa Dale. Paula loved Christmas and her birthday parties that oftentimes became community events, which were planned year-round. Paula loved to listen to music, especially Elvis and the music in her favorite movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Paula’s nimble fingers and keen ears could tune radio stations away from any news or commercial in a split-second. Growing up, Paula was a true daddy's girl, cherishing the time spent by her dad's side. She spent many years alongside him in his gas truck, experiences that filled her heart, and all who saw them together, with warmth. Paula also had a deep love for water, having spent many joyous days with family and friends at their river camp and later enjoying family pool gatherings. Paula is preceded in death by her father, Buddy Clapp; two brothers, Kevin Clapp and David Clapp. Paula is survived by her mother, Bonnie Clapp; one sister, Lisa (Jeff) Conder, one brother, Daniel (Martha) Clapp; nephew and nieces, Evan (Chase) Conder, Hannah (Rhys) Myers, Desiree Schultz, Briana (Brad) Snyder, and Laurel (Kurt) Kennedy; longtime caretaker, Andrea; Paula's pal, Tyson; caretaker, Cora. The memorial service for Paula Clapp will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Lexington Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Indiana.
