Obituary

Pauline Crider, 82, passed away on December 23, 2024, in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born November 9, 1942 in Gays Creek, Kentucky to Miles and Della Cole Spicer. She attended Austin High School and worked at the Excello Shirt Factory in Seymour for 29 years. Pauline will always be remembered for her wonderful, friendly nature who never met a stranger. She loved growing flowers in her gardens. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Bobby Lee Cissell in 1983 and Albert G. Crider in 2013; two brothers, Nacy Spicer and Manuel Spicer; and two sisters, Bedel Baldwin and Etta Jent. Pauline is survived by her son, Vince Cissell of Underwood, Indiana; her sisters, Betty Lamb of Madison, Indiana, Shannie Hurtt of Scottsburg,Indiana, and Marjorie Shadburn of Scottsburg, Indiana; her grandsons, Jimmy (Jennifer) Cissell of North Vernon, Indiana and Tyler Cissell of Seymour, Indiana; as well as her four great-grandchildren, Emily, Natalie, Luke and Sierra. Visitation for Pauline will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 26, 2024 and from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am, Friday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Charlestown, Indiana. Memorial donations can be made in Pauline's name to Hosparus Health Southern Indiana in c/o Collins Funeral Home.
