Obituary

Randy Lee Jackson, 60, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on November 19, 1959 in Madison, Indiana, the son of the late Allen and Mary Alice (DeHoff) Jackson. Randy graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1978 and was a former employee of the old Pierce Landscaping Company in Lexington, Indiana. He attended the Emmanuel Baptist Church, was a Past Governor and former member of the Moose Family Center #2324 and a member of the Hod Carriers Union. Randy loved to fish and watch NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Ann Jackson. Survivors include a brother, John Henry (Cindy) of North Vernon, Indiana; a cousin, Michael Bundren of Indianapolis, Indiana and friends that cared for him, Jimmy Shelton (Beth) and Rita Bailey (John). Funeral Service: 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Romero officiating. Visitation: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Interment will be in Scaffold Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Scaffold Lick Cemetery Association c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
