Randy E. Taflinger, 53, of Nabb, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born on April 18, 1967 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Phillip E. Taflinger and Judy (Geralde) Taflinger. Randy graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1985 and then earned an associates degree in Industrial Maintenance at Ivy Tech in Sellersburg, Indiana. He was a former employee of the old Holm Industries in Scottsburg, Indiana, where he worked for 25 years. Randy also had worked and Pepsi and Aisin Industries. He was a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church, liked to hunt, fish, play softball and golf. Randy especially enjoyed spending time and playing with his granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jackie F. (Lesnet) Taflinger; his mother, Judy Taflinger of Scottsburg, Indiana; a sister, Tami (Rick) Nance of Seymour, Indiana; a stepson, Brandon Lesnet of Scottsburg, Indiana and a granddaughter, Sophia Cutshall. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home. Private memorial services will be held at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Randy's service may be viewed on Collins Funeral Home's Facebook page at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. A celebration of Randy's life may be held for the public and friends at a later date.
