Raymond "Ray" Paul Licht, age 79, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025 in Sellersburg, Indiana.

Born on February 17, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, Ray proudly served in the U.S. Navy before beginning a long career with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Cleveland. He and his wife Mary later relocated to Scottsburg where he formed close friendships through his employment at Ace Hardware.

Ray had a passion for golf, cooking, home projects, and cheering on his favorite Ohio sports teams. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scottsburg and was active for many years in both the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star in Ohio.

He is survived by his daughters, Alexandrea Bratton and Melissa Toppings; son, Jeffrey Licht; brothers, Howard Licht and Robert Licht; sister, Laura Faught; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Licht and Adele (Eggers) Rotschi, and his wife, Mary (Oriti) Licht.
