Richard Wilson, 72, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, IN surrounded by family after a long fight with pneumonia. He was born on January 18, 1951 in Underwood, IN to the late John Wilson and Alma Wycoff. He married Evelyene (Morrison) Wilson in 1974, who he shared three children with and who preceded him in death in 2012. Richard was known by all who crossed paths with him as kind, hardworking, and an old fashioned family man. He enjoyed fishing any second he could, listening to classical rock, reading a good book, and most of all spending as much time as possible with all of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; four brothers, Ed Wilson, Jerry Wilson, John Paul Wilson, Raymond Wilson; and one sister, Betty Sue Wilson. He is survived by his brother Jack Wilson; son, Duane Morrison of Charlestown, IN; two daughters, Dana Wilson of Scottsburg, IN and Nora Herndon (Jimmy) of Charlestown, IN; nine grandchildren, Desirae Nava (Jorge), Joshua Morrison, Kali Morrison, Mark Tsiaousis, Stormy Patton, Joseph Patton, Kathleen Patton, Chyenne Herndon, and Cherokey Herndon; and three great grandchildren, Evelyene Nava, Lyla Nava, and Elijah McGaw.
