Rickie Russell Bryant, 67 years old, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 19,1958, in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of the late Theodore and Eva Bryant.
Rickie was a 1977 graduate of Austin High School and spent many years as a car salesman working for Arbuckle's Chevrolet and John Jones Auto Group Salem/Scottsburg. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Leota. He enjoyed being outdoors, boating at Hardy Lake, mowing the yard, grilling for family get-togethers and spending many an evening by the fire. Rickie met the love of his life, Nancy (Copple) Bryant in 1991. They were married on October 23, 1993, and spent thirty-one wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a family filled with love, adventures and cherished memories. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was full of life and enjoyed having fun, spending time with family and playing with his grandkids, nieces and nephews. Rickie brought joy and laughter to everyone around him - there was never a dull moment in his presence. He lived life with a fun, easygoing spirit. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Bryant of Scottsburg, Indiana; his three children, Erica Bryant, of Newburgh, Indiana, Mike (Shannon) Allen, and Brian Allen, of Scottsburg, Indiana; his three grandchildren, Nicholas (Megan) Allen, Lauren (Jon) Allen, and Ginny Mae (Ashton) Villier and ten great grandchildren. Rickie is also survived by his brother, Ronald (Marsha) Bryant, and his sister, Patricia Caudill as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Eva Baker Bryant, and his son, Justin Dean Bryant. A private graveside service will be conducted by Pastor Bruce Bridgewater at Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Leota, Indiana. Memorials may be given in Rickie's memory to the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in c/o Collins Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg.
