Ricky Bowman, 47, of Little York, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on August 7, 1976 in Salem, Indiana, the son of the late Marvin E. Bowman Sr. and Nellie J. (McKillip) Bowman, who survives. He was an employee of Cerrowire in Crothersville, Indiana. He was a member of the Mt. Hebron Church in Little York, Indiana. Ricky was a fun loving guy who was a jack of all trades. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren. Ricky also enjoyed spending his free time outside riding four wheelers. In addition to his dad, Marvin, Ricky is preceded in death by a brother in law, David Fleenor. Survivors include his mother, Nellie J. Bowman of Little York, Indiana; partner, Tonya Cornett of Little York, Indiana; two sons, Shawn (Emily) Bowman and Dustin (Baylee) Bowman both of Little York, Indiana; brother, Marvin (Georgia) Bowman of Little York, Indiana; four sisters, Rhonda Fleenor of Little York, Indiana, Karen (Keith) Barry of Salem, Indiana, Tammy (John) Turner of Madison, Indiana and Marcia McCowan of Scottsburg, Indiana; bonus son, Derek Cornett of Little York, Indiana; bonus Mom, Carol Thompson of Salem, Indiana; two grandchildren, Layton and Kaylee Bowman; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Mt. Hebron Church with Bro. Rodney Sweeney officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday at Mt. Hebron Church.
