Ricky Lynn Gardner

Ricky Lynn Gardner, 70, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on July 10, 2026, at Norton Scott Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on December 20, 1955 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late James Junior Gardner and Dorine (Brown) Prewitt. Ricky found immense joy in nurturing his garden, where he lovingly tended to his prized tomatoes, a testament to his nurturing spirit. His enthusiasm for cars, particularly NASCAR, dirt track racing, and demolition derby, was infectious, and he eagerly shared this passion with family and friends alike. He was also a proud member of the Finley Volunteer Fire Department. Ricky is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Greg Gardner and Larry Gardner; and one sister, Linda Dryer. He is survived by one sister, Diana Riebel of Crystal Beach, Florida; two brothers, Terry Gardner of Deputy, Indiana and Ronnie (Becky) Gardner of Louisville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Ricky Gardner will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 6:00pm at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Collins Funeral Home.
