Obituary

Ricky L. Gumm, 73, of Crothersville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on December 25, 1946 in Uniontown, Indiana. Ricky was married on Sept. 22, 1973 to Jo (Hall) Gumm, and they have shared 46 years together. He retired from Cummins Engine Company, having worked at the Columbus, Walesboro and Seymour Plants for a total of 30 years. Ricky also was the owner and operator of the old Rick's Body Shop in Crothersville, Indiana. He was a member of the Tampico Christian Church, enjoyed racing and building race cars. Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys (Daily) Gumm; a sister, Sierra Gumm and a brother, Stephen Gumm. Survivors include his wife, Jo Gumm; a son, Rick J. Gumm and his wife Krista of Crothersville, Indiana; a daughter, Shannon Gumm of Sellersburg, Indiana and two grandchildren, Laney and Reegon Gumm. Funeral Service: 11:00 am on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Pastor Randy King officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday and after 10 am on Thursday at Collins Funeral Home. Visitation and services will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Underwood, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Tampico Christian Church c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
