Robert D. "Bob" Middleton, 89, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on October 3, 1930 in Lexington, Indiana, the son of the late Dewey Francis Middleton and Eva P. (Hall) Middleton. Bob graduated from Lexington High School in the Class of 1948. He was a retired maintenance superintendent for Indiana Kentucky Electric Corporation in Madison, Indiana, where he worked for 39 years. Bob was a member of the Scottsburg Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and volunteered at the Lexington Historical Society for many years. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop, fishing, hunting and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Barnard and Norma Jean Hall. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Sue (Owen) Middleton; two sons, Jeff Middleton (Tami) of Francisco, Indiana and Mark Middleton (Celia) of Indianapolis, Indiana; four grandchildren, Carla Scales (Justin), Jill Lyman (Chad), Craig and James Middleton and three great grandchildren, Danielle and Owen Scales and Gavin Lyman.
