Robert Lee Rentch, 89, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. He was born on August 7, 1930 in Stickney, Illinois, the son of the late William Rentch and Anna May (Collins) Rentch. Robert was a retired truck driver working for over 30 years. Prior to driving a truck, he retired as a Tech Sergeant after 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, Indiana and a Lifetime member of the American Legion Post # 234 in Scottsburg, Indiana. Robert enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching sports and old Western's on the television. He especially liked watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears and Cubs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Rentch and a sister, Cleowanda Mano. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margaret (Cozart) Rentch; two sons, Michael Rentch of Worcester, England and Richard L. Rentch of Watertown, South Dakota; three daughters, Barbara VanderWagen (Robert) of Sheridan, Illinois, Kimberly Leigh (Greg) of Shelbyville, Indiana and Beverly Burns (Robert) of Marysville, Michigan; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
