Rodney Ray "RB" Boyd, 63, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, in his residence surrounded by his family. He was born on November 9, 1958, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Zon Boyd and Betty J. (Murphy) Alsup, who survives. He was a graduate of Scottsburg High School. Rodney often referred to himself as, "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." He was preceded in death by both his father, Zon; and his stepfather, Haskell. In addition to his mother, Betty, Rodney is survived by four sisters, Linda (Danny) Boyd of Scottsburg, Indiana, Shelly (Larry) Meenach of Underwood, Indiana, Monica Nevils of Scottsburg, Indiana, and Brenda (Bob) Marlow of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Tommy Boyd of Scottsburg, Indiana and Bill (Tonia) Shepherd of Dayton, Ohio; stepbrother, Alan (Cyndi) Myers of Scottsburg, Indiana; two stepsisters, Janie (Jim) Bell of Payson, Arizona and Tammy Garfield of Andover, Minnesota; companion, Charlene of Scottsburg, Indiana; and eighteen nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Shane, Dustin, Kyle, Justin, Brady, Brandy, Mandy, Jason, Aaron, Kendra, Suzan, Mitchell, Kayla, Matthew, Cara, Joseph, and Anna. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2022, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana with Sunni Ingram and Tim Williams officiating. Visitation: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment at Scaffold Lick Cemetery in Blocher, Indiana.
