Ronald L "Ronnie" Stewart, 76, of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the Beehive in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born on October 9, 1946, in Scottsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Carl Stewart and Esther (Bower) Stewart.  Ronnie served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Stewart Construction Inc. out of Scottsburg, Indiana, after working with his brother Gary for over forty years building custom homes. Ronnie had also worked at the Old American Can in Austin, Indiana. Ronnie was an active member of his local community. He was a Member of the Scottsburg Moose Lodge #2324 and the Scottsburg Masonic Lodge #572, the Scottish Rite, and the Shriners Club. Ronnie was a member of the First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. When Ronnie and Connie moved down to Florida he stayed involved and moved his American Legion membership to Post #110 in Port Charlotte, Florida. He also was a member of the Elks Lodge #2763 in Deep Creek, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Todd Fox; and grandson, Codee LaMaster. Survivors include his wife, Constance "Connie" Stewart, of forty-three years; two daughters, Donnette (Randy) LaMaster of Scottsburg, Indiana and Tonya (Brian) Snyder of Martinsville, Indiana; brother, Gary (Pat) Stewart of Scottsburg, Indiana; three grandchildren, Samantha LaMaster, Sydney Snyder, and Landon LaMaster; great grandchild, Madden LaMaster; and two nieces and nephew, Lori Turner, Lisa Rice and Jeremy Stewart. Cremation was chosen and entrusted to Collins Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on November 26, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
