Ronnie Lee Boling, 82 of Rising Sun passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at The Waters of Scottsburg, Indiana. He was born July 1, 1942, in Salem, Indiana to Elmo and Ruby Brough Boling. He grew up in Salem, graduating high school there. He came to Scottsburg in 1973 and lived here until moving to Rising Sun in recent years. He worked for Weyerhaeuser, Bowater and Holm Industries. He served in Viet Nam while in the US Army. He enjoyed playing baseball, watching the Cincinnati Reds, gardening and fishing. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Susan Marie Boling, his daughter, Amy Sue Boling and his sister, Imogene Boling Gasser. Surviving to cherish his memories are his daughter, Lea Anne Boling Perry of Scottsburg, his grandsons, Brandon (Savannah) Stamper of Elizabeth, Indiana and Logan David Lee Perry of Columbus, Indiana, his soon to born great-grandson Paxtin Orville Stamper, and his niece, Cindy Gettelfinger. Friends may visit with Ronnie's family from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg. Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
