Ruby Fern Jones, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Hickory Creek of Scottsburg, Indiana.  She was born on November 3, 1944 in Jonesville, Virgina, the son of the late Earl Vandervander Jones and Ruby Ellen (Thomas) Jones.  Ruby was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church near Scottsburg, Indiana.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by niece, Amanda Jones.  Survivors include her brother, Danny Jones and his wife Berna of Seymour, Indiana; three nieces, Jamie, Amy and Sarah Jones; five aunts, Bobby Crockett, Laura Hobbs, Ina Oliver, Inez Keadle, Mae Breeden; several cousins who adored her, as well as her extended family at Hickory Creek of Scottsburg. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery with Brother Sonny Maxwell officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Shriners Hospitals for children through the funeral home or at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org in honor of Fern's lifelong physical struggles.
