Russell Allen Burns

Russell Allen Burns, 63, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on August 6, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1963 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to the late Steve Burns, Jr. and Mickey Burns. Russell was proud to graduate from Vincennes University and went on to become a respected supervisor at The former Freudenberg in Scottsburg, where he spent many years serving his colleagues and contributing to the local industry. His passion for excellence extended beyond the workplace, as he was actively involved in several community activities, including participating in shooting competitions at Jennings County Conservation and being a member of both the Moose Lodge and the Scottsburg Bowling League. Russell is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Burns. He is survived by three sons, Steven (Malori) Burns; Brad Burns, and Derek (Irina) Burns; one daughter, Tiffany Martyn; and his grandchildren, Dani Burns, Presley Burns, Harlan Holloway, Acetynn Burns, and Adilynn Carver. In honor of Russell's life, a celebration of life will be held on a future date, where family and friends will be invited to gather.
