Ruth Ailean Trader, 59 of New Whiteland, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on February 23, 1964 in New Albany, Indiana, to the late John McNeeley and Bernice (Abner) McNeeley. Ruth was an employee of Sevita Healthcare. She enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, having hen parties, and going to concerts with her daughters, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family. On December 13, 2014 she married Mark Edward Trader, who survives. She was preceded in death by parents; and two aunts, Ailean McNeeley and Teresa Diaz-Green. Survivors include her husband, Mark Edward Trader, of New Whiteland , Indiana; two daughters, Alyssa (Ryan) Barger of Austin, Indiana; Shelby Lynne Copeland of Lexington, Indiana; two bonus children, Monica Trader of Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael Edward (Susan) Trader of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Terry McNeeley of Elizabethtown, Indiana; Charles McNeeley of Seymour, Indiana; one sister, Drusilla Perry of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and one aunt, Ethel Golden of Lexington, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Tyler Everett, Trenton Everett, Emmalynne Trader, Brycen Copeland, Brantley Copeland, Gabriella Trader, Madison Copeland-Cullins, Beau Barger, and Sutton Trader. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 4, 2024 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Flucke officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday January 3, 2024 and after 10:00 am Thursday January 4, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home.
