Ryan Hurst Helton, 43, of Austin, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at University Of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born on November 28, 1979 in Seymour , Indiana, the son of the late Steven E. Helton and Barbara (Hurst) Helton. Ryan graduated from Scottsburg High School in the class of 1998, where he was an exceptional wrestler. He was captain of the wrestling team and held records for being the team's most valuable player for several years in a row. Following graduation, Ryan went on to the United States Marines, where he proudly served his country. Ryan was able to give the ultimate gift of life by being an organ donor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Barbara; two aunts, Kathy Smith and Janet Johnson; and one uncle, Michael McNear. Survivors include his son, Hunter Helton and the mother of his child, Barbie both of Austin, Indiana; brother, Michael S. Helton of Cortland, New York; significant other, Andrea Tringali of Austin, Indiana; aunt, Regina Hughbanks; and many close family members including his cousins, Sondra, Travis, Renee, Kenny, Shauna, Todd, Tyson, Deanna, Michael, Emma, Oaklee, and Maverick. Cremation was entrusted to Collins Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date and burial at Zoah Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana.
